Established in 1998, Queen Bee Productions produces theatre and creative programming that work to change how society views women and how women view themselves. QBP works with community organizations to foster a cooperative and empowering environment that advocates for women on important issues.

Congratulations Artistic Director Deb Lemire, recognized as one of the 500 most influential women in Northeast Ohio by Northern Ohio Live Magazine, honored with a Woman of the Year Creativity Award from the Women’s History Project of Akron, Feminist of the Year 2002 by the Akron Chapter of the National Organization for Women and a recipient of the Women’s Network Founders’ Award for Community Progress for Women.

Deb Lemire and QBP has also received a Community Collaborations Award from the Summit County Housing Network, an honorable mention for Civic Leadership in Northern Ohio Live's 2003 Awards of Achievement and a nomination for an Akron Area Arts Alliance, Arts Alive! Award.

Women Central Project is a collaboration of area organizations working to create a strategic plan for the growth and well-being of women and girls in our community addressing the issues of Safety and Violence in Women’s Lives and Economic Empowerment for Women.
